Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with an expressive aroma of ripe, fresh blackberries, warm black plums, and black currants with hints of cedar chest, pencil lead, Chinese five-spice, and dark chocolate. A full-bodied palate delivers mouth-coating black fruit and exotic spice flavors, supported by firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a lingering cinnamon stick note.
Steak. The obvious one.
A good burger. Which is, after all, chopped steak.
Beef short ribs and other braised beef dishes. Slow-braised beef - or venison - can be great too, especially when cooked in red wine.
Roast or grilled lamb.
Portabello mushrooms.
Hard Cheese.
