Christian obtained this prestigious qualification at the invitation of the Bureau National Interprofessional du Cognac (BNIC).
We will cover the history and production of Cognac including how best to serve and enjoy the different styles and food pairing options. 12 different Cognac’s will be tasted to illustrate and demonstrate the variety of terroirs, styles, tiers, and aging characteristics.
Cognac is the original brandy and remains the most honored and historical evolution of wine. A region in southwest France, Cognac is, first and foremost, a place. Blessed with a unique climate, fertile soils, and rich culture and history the town and surrounding area imbue the spirit made here with their very essence.

The exam takes place in the last session of the course. The exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions to be completed in 75 minutes and two blind tasting samples. To pass you must correctly answer 70% of the questions. This qualification is Bureau National Interprofessional du Cognac (BNIC) regulated.
