There are no prerequisites for enrolling in Mixology 101. Students of legal drinking age who have a passion for cocktails and a desire to learn are welcome to join the course.
The TQT for Mixology 101 is estimated at 10 hours, consisting entirely of GLH. This includes both theoretical instruction and practical hands-on training sessions.
Successful completion of Mixology 101 opens up opportunities for further study and specialization in the field of mixology. Graduates may consider advancing to more advanced courses such as Advanced Mixology Techniques or specialized courses in bartending management.

The Mixology 101 course is assessed through a combination of practical demonstrations and written assessments. Students will be evaluated on their ability to accurately prepare and present a selection of cocktails, as well as their understanding of cocktail theory and techniques.
The course concludes with a practical examination where students are required to demonstrate their mixology skills by preparing specified cocktails within a given timeframe. Additionally, there will be a written assessment covering the theoretical aspects of mixology.
Examinations are conducted under the supervision of qualified instructors and assessors. Detailed instructions and guidelines will be provided to candidates before the examination date.
Candidates who are unsuccessful in their initial examination attempt may apply to resit the examination. There is no limit on the number of resits permitted.
All necessary course materials, including textbooks, recipe guides, and equipment, will be provided by the training centre.
Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to taste and evaluate a variety of spirits, liqueurs, and other cocktail ingredients to develop their palate and sensory perception.
Candidates must be of legal drinking age to participate in practical tasting sessions. Non-alcoholic alternatives will be provided for individuals who do not consume alcohol for health or personal reasons.
